A Happy Dog on a Summer's Day

Crab time

When we went one day to Hunstanton beach, we found millions of big Crabs, some of which we took home and took care of.

What Crabs eat: They are Detrivores. They will consume animal as well as plant matter (algae, etc.).

They will mostly live off Plankton and other types of water plantation. They also eat some small Fish in the wild. Crabs are opportunists. They will eat what they find, including partially decomposed items.

Ladybirds

Ladybirds:

What a Ladybird eats:

Aphids
Small Insects
Mites
Plants
Scale Insects
Pests
Thrips & Coccinellidae

The lifespan of a Ladybird is of around a year.

It will only survive without food for around 1 day.

Question: Only after looking at the photograph, we spotted a weird leaf on the right hand side and realised that it was actually a mystery animal! (Inside the orange circle)

Can you tell us what it can be??
Post your answers through comments.

Have Fun!

Fly

This was one of the best pictures I had ever taken of a flying animal before.
It may not be a close-up, but it's a good photo!

A Fly will eat almost anything.

A Fly's lifespan is around a month.

But a Fly will only survive without food for around 2 days.

Enjoy!

Alex.

Great Tit

Great Tit

Like Blue Tits and Coal Tits, Great Tits are fond of small Insects and eat huge numbers of Caterpillars and Aphids (Despite the name!), helping us to maintain a healthy garden without the use of chemicals.

Given the chance though, they will munch their way through a great variety of nuts and seeds, top favourites being Black Sunflower and Sunflower Hearts, plus Peanuts of course and any mixes containing these.

A Great Tit will survive about a day without food.

And the longest known lifespan of it was 11 years and 97 days!!

P.S.

Sorry it's out of focus!
